Barbie and Her Sisters in a Puppy Chase Review

This review contains spoilers.

Today I sat down to watchBarbie and Her Sisters in a Puppy Chasefor the 2nd time, and information technology did not disappoint! I was quite hesitant at first -it had been a while since I had seen it the first time, and I didn't really remember what happened.

Off-white alarm -with talking puppies who are somehow immune on planes and have their own headphones, this film is definitely targeted towards younger children, and it's not something you want to lookout man with, similar, other people in the room (unless they're Barbie fans, of class).

There'south also a TON of production placement in the film that really didn't need to be there -the splash and swim puppies and the campervan isn't directly involved with the movie, just they are still shown. The puppy campervan, horses and dolls all were produced equally a direct result of the film. Speaking of the puppy campervan,what.Was that fifty-fifty necessary? It just seemed a bit ridiculous.

I concluded up purchasing both the Stacie and Skipper dolls, which you tin read about if you become to the 'my collection' section.

Overall, I really enjoyed the film. It was something I'll definitely watch once more. Why?

Twists around every corner.Dissimilar films such asBarbie in a Mermaid Tale,the plot isn't predetermined by a list of items the protagonist needs to find -instead, the girls try to get to Chelsea'due south dance contest on fourth dimension, only to be stopped past misfortune after misfortune. Flat tire, cleaved span, huge mountain, abased hamlet, no road, no cellphone service, misplaced sign… Everything that can get wrong, does!

The sister's banter was just the best.I wouldn't go as far to call it 'arguing,' just Chelsea, Stacie and Skipper do tease each other a lot. This moving picture really highlights their friendship, in ways that films such asBarbie and her Sisters in a Pony Taledid not.

Barbie isn't the all-optimistic hero. While Barbie definitely maintains a high level of optimism throughout the motion picture, in that location's ii lovely scenes where she admits she doesn't know everything, she is scared, and she really has no idea what the heck she's doing. While it isn't atThe Barbie Diarieslevel of realism, information technology'south notwithstanding a nice change.

Each sister is unique.You lot know how, in some films, characters are all copies of one another, just with different names and outfits? Not in this motion picture! If this was the outset Barbie picture show you lot saw, you lot would hands be able to remember the names and personalities of each sister. I particularly like Skipper'southward reaction to things -I would probably have the same reaction if I was practically forced down a zipline! It was great how her sisters encouraged her.

Positive message.There's a line in the song that goes 'we won't regret the chances we accept,' and information technology stuck out to me considering the moral of the picture is that even if things don't go to plan, y'all tin always work around them and make some memories in the meantime. Or something similar that, anyway.

Of class, it withal had it'south downfalls.

The puppies got a chip annoying.If I was, like, an actual child, I might have not been then bothered but, gosh, thatyapping.Information technology really got to me! If Conrad Helten was to arroyo me and say 'hey, Mattel, is thinking about making another puppy film, but we're not sure yet. What exercise yous retrieve?' I would say 'Please! No more puppy-focused movies!'

Barbie'southward actions were often dangerous.I get that it'south  a motion picture, merely she literally suggested they climb down a vine down this huge mountain! Girl, are you crazy? You lot're request a six-year-old with no abseiling experience to climb downwards a mountain? Using a vine?

And she didn't really listen to her sisters.Time after time, Chelsea expressed her wish to get back to the hotel to practice her dance routine, because she was agape she would mess up. And she had a right to exist afraid, because she ended up completely messing up her trip the light fantastic toe routine! Mayhap if Barbie hadn't forced them to watch the dancing horses, Chelsea wouldn't have messed upwardly (and they wouldn't have had such an exciting chance, but that's beside the betoken).

WHAT About THE Food?Throughout their tour around the island, all Barbie and her sisters eat isfree energy confinedfound in Stacie's backpack. And you're telling u.s.a. they hiked all day long, surviving off energy bars and one bottle of h2o each? Nice effort. I suppose it's better thanBarbie and the Magic of Pegasus,where they ate literally cipher on their three-day horseback trip upwards the snowy mountains.

Overall, I did really like it. I liked the whole 'island take chances' thing, and I'm terribly excited for Dolphin Adventure. The animation wasn't the best, particularly in the faces, but the sea was so realistic, I was really impressed. This definitely is one of my favourite films.

Oh -we can't forget the embrace! I loooved the comprehend art of this film, it's great how it'south non a weird illustration similarBarbie and the Secret Door.The back cover was organised really well, and I similar how the overall theme is blue, instead of yellow. I've had enough of yellow covers! On my shelf, it goes pinkish, pink, pink, pale pinkish, pinkish, and so a whole department of Yellowish! And so blue 😉

OTHER STUFF

So, I know information technology looks similar it was made in five minutes, but this video took me almost an hour to motion picture. And it'south xiii seconds long! I was planning on doing the full episode of Spooky Sleepover, but that didn't stop upwardly happening, haha.

I also went to the supermarket and saw this doll for the FIRST TIME Ever. A supermarket, guys. This doll never showed up at any proper shops, just at a supermarket??

She was simply $x, but I didn't get her, I thought her face up looked a bit blank. The wearing apparel doesn't do much for me, and I don't have an articulated doll that would match her skintone. I'm fine with one manus on hip, just2?What kind of person walks around with two hands on their hips? Is she running around like she's aroused all the time?
